THE AVALANCHE (by Adriana del Rio)

Last week I went on a skiing trip to Jaca with the school. We went to the ski runs by bus. We were very excited.

My friend told me "go to the Raca", we went to the Raca but an avalanche was coming towards us. We started running, we were scared, my best friend broke his leg and i broke my arm.

It was a horrible experience but I love skiing!

A terrible earthquake (by Jordi Cantarero)

One day a man named Mike noticed that  the ground was moving... a few seconds later it looked like everything was broken, Mike did not know what to do, the only ones who survived the earthquake were a woman named Molly and Mike. They decided to go to another village to ask for help.

On that trip they fell in love and together they rebuilt the town with the money the council gave them.  Now the town's name is Mikmolly in honor of the couple who rebuilt the town.

A volcano in Mexico (by Elisabeth Gómez)

Last week I went to my uncle's house and he told me a story that happened a few years ago.
 This is the story:
My uncle and his family went to Mexico and spent three days in a hotel. The first day was very good, they went to the swimming pool and went sightseeing. The second day something happened that no one expected. The volcano Tacaná erupted, everyone was very nervous and wanted to escape. My uncle and his family could escape from there thanks to a rescue team, it was nothing serious, but they were very frightened!

Earthquake in Mallorca (by Aroa Navarro)

One day, in 2010, there was an earthquake, and people were very frightnened because it was very strong.
I run to go down a table, I was very scared,  people were screaming and a baby was crying a lot.
The earthquake lasted thirty seconds but for me it was longer.
I remember that the day of the eartquake I was walking with my dog and she was very nervous. It was worst experience I have ever had. My mum was very scared because she didn't know where I was.

A tsunami (by Elena Sanchez)

In 2011 I went to Japan on holidays with my family.
One day we went to the beach. I was playing with some Japanese  friends and suddenly we started to swim under the water. Suddenly I realized that my friend Michiko had dissapeared. I found the ball, but Michiko didn't appear. And suddenly she appeared on the beach unconscious.

The wave (by Lucas Santos)

One year ago, one day I  got up because I heard a very loud noise. When I went  to look through the window, I saw an enormous wave, a really huge wave coming to me. I fell in panic.

Fortunately, my father took me out of there running, while my mother took my sister. We were running when we heard a loud crash. We looked through the  window again and we saw that the wave didn't  reach our flat  because we live on a 7th  floor!

A tsunami (by Anaïs Sagrera)

Last year in Santa Ponsa there was a tsunami warning.

We were all evacuated to the mountains, we just could take some clothes and  a few personal effects.

I took my dog,  a bag of clothes and some food...

We stayed in the mountains for a few hours, but later they told us that nothing had happened, it all had been a false alarm!

What a storm! (by Alejandro Lares)

An enormous storm struck California. There were thunder and lighting in all California, floods in Los Angeles and three tornados in Pasadena. A few hours later a hurricane destroyed some areas in Los Angeles.

Unfortunately I was there, in the All Star basketball game watching the East vs West with my parents.
All the Pavilion was in flames because a lighting struck on the roof and most of the bulding was made of wood.

I remember how the doctors put my body in a stretcher and pick me in a helicopter to go to the nearest hospital. From that day I have been bad injured: I can't walk , I can't run and I can't play basketball anymore!

Avalanche in the Alps (by Maria Cáliz)

Last year I went on a skiing trip with my friends. We travelled by plane to the Alps, and then we took a minibus to go to the hotel.
On the first day we skied following the tracks. Later we went to a restaurant to eat some food, in the restaurant there were some chairs and some tables and we sat on the chairs to have lunch.

After  lunch we returned to the tracks, we skied for a long time but at 18:00h I heard a loud noise and I saw an avalanche. We  started to run, but the avalanche caught me and I got buried under the snow .
A few hours later my friends found me under the snow and they took me to a hospital.
When we arrived at the hospital, a doctor told me my leg was broken  and he put me a plaster cast.
